A born writer…

As a kid growing up in San Francisco, books were my thing. With the aid of The Farm Book, I taught myself to read at 3, and started devouring books soon after. I would cut pictures out of magazines, and glue them into my own little handmade books. In high school, I founded my school’s Book Club, while experimenting with making zines, writing poetry, and playing in punk bands.

with a technical background…

As a young adult needing to make a living, I worked a lot of different jobs before somehow ending up in tech support. I worked as a Customer Support Rep at Netflix, and then joined world-renowned business coaching company EMyth in 2011. I worked my way up to becoming the Operations Manager, managing a small team responsible for the daily operations of the company and its global coach network. I became immersed in tech and the emerging mobile and cloud service ecosystem. I helped plan and oversee the transition of legacy business systems to then-emerging cloud services such as Salesforce, Zendesk, Google’s G Suite, Zuora, Intercom, and more.

6 years writing for content marketing campaigns…

After leaving EMyth, I provided freelance editing and content consulting services to small businesses and business coaches. Then, I began working with Scopcity (now InChannel), a small content agency in Charlotte, North Carolina, where I was mentored by the owner Heather Head, learning the in’s and out’s of Inbound Marketing. Partnering with agencies and mid-size enterprises, I wrote blog posts, ebooks, white papers, case studies, and web copy for technology, logistics, and consulting businesses, all while witnessing the rapid evolution of digital marketing.

and always seeking growth and knowledge.

While writing B2B content at Scopcity, I went back to university to study English. At Southern Oregon University, I published literary papers, presented at two literary conferences, and graduated with a B.S. in Political Science and English. I also studied in Lyon, France for a year, earning a Certificate of French and European Studies from Sciences Po Lyon and working as an English teaching assistant in a collége (middle school). After finishing my degree in Oregon, I embarked on a year living and working as a digital nomad throughout Asia, splitting time between Thailand, Vietnam, and South Korea.
